Alt Med Blue – A BCBSNC Discount Program
As a participating provider with HNS, you are under contract with BCBSNC’s Alt Med Blue program.
- This program is simply a discount program for member’s who do not have chiropractic coverage as a healthcare benefit.
- There is no benefit paid by BCBSNC and no claims to file.
- The BCBSNC member uses this program simply by presenting their BCBSNC ALT MED BLUE member ID card.
- The discount amount is 25% off your usual and customary charge.
All claims for COVERED SERVICES provided to a beneficiary of an HNS contracted payor MUST be submitted to HNS. Participating providers who fail to submit all such claims to HNS may lose their status as an in-network provider. (This includes any self-funded groups who utilize an HNS contracted payor as a third party administrator.)
